We are who we say we are

We are who we say we are

We are who we say we are.

Start noticing your "I am" statements from the moment you open your eyes in the morning.

I am sooo tired
I am starving
 I am fat
I am so stupid
I am such an idiot
I am the worst mother in the world
I am always broke.
I am desperate
I am ugly
I am weak.

Is it any wonder that we get to the end of the week after berating and bullying ourselves to death and we just want to spend the whole weekend on the couch eating chips and watching TV? Very few people will argue against the fact that people often become like the way they are spoken to. If you always criticise and belittle a child, you can hardly expect that child to flourish and grow into a confident adult. Yet we do this to ourselves on a daily basis and then we are surprised to find that we struggle in so many areas of our lives? IS IT ANY WONDER?

I dare you to start experimenting with this. If you have to, fake it till you make it. But start changing your “I am” statements today!

I am strong
I am healthy
I am wise
I am blessed
I am awesome
 I am worthy
I am a good parent
I am deserving of love
I am living a life of purpose.

Observe the meaningful changes that will start taking place in your life. #speaklife
